Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy in Germany
Since 2006, hypnotherapy has been recognized by the Scientific Advisory Board for Psychotherapy in Germany as a scientifically validated method – particularly for specific applications such as pain and addiction.

How hypnosis works
In a state of focused attention, access to unconscious processes becomes possible. This allows new perspectives to emerge and inner resources to be used more effectively. Hypnosis can also influence bodily processes that are usually beyond conscious control – such as pain perception, stress or tension.

Areas of application
Hypnosis can accompany and support medical or psychotherapeutic treatments. Common topics in my practice include:

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Anger and inner tension

  • Sleep disorders

  • Psychosomatic complaints

  • Chronic pain

In the performance field, athletes, artists and executives use hypnosis to access their potential more effectively, to sharpen focus and to strengthen resilience.

Hypnosis is not a miracle cure
Hypnosis is often associated with high expectations. It can be helpful in many areas – but always within clearly defined limits. Therapeutically, it is only applied in combination with medical or psychotherapeutic clarification and treatment.

About me
I work as a psychologist (M.Sc., London), systemic therapist (SG) and hypnotherapist (MEG), within the framework of the German Heilpraktikergesetz. I am also head of the Milton Erickson Society Berlin, where I teach modern hypnotherapy.
